Brett Trout, PC

BrettTrout_Brett Trout is a patent attorney and nationally recognized speaker on Patent, Trademark and Internet legal issues. He began practicing Intellectual Property Law in 1992, becoming a registered patent attorney in 1993. Since that time, he has drafted over one hundred patents. In 2006, Weblog Awards voted his blog, BlawgIT, the sixth best law blog in the world. Brett was a featured presenter at the 2007 BlogWorld Expo. He is past President of the Iowa Intellectual Property Association and past Chair of the Iowa State Bar Association Technology Committee. He is co-founding director of the Iowa Volunteer Lawyers For the Arts (IVLA) project and spoke at the 2009 140 Character Conference in Los Angeles.
