Where Will I_Blog 10 Be?
That’s a great question! While I have a couple of great Iowa hotels in mind I am open to suggestions. I have only a few requirements:
1) I would like to stay away from a “typical chain” hotel. I know Iowa has amazing hotels that are gems waiting to be discovered. A great example: the Hotel Pattee, where I_Blog ‘09 was held.
2) The hotel must have wi-fi- and be able to handle the bandwidth of 100+ bloggers.
3) We will need at least 3 conference rooms, each able to hold 30-50 people.
4) While it’s not completely necessary I would like to have the option of using the hotel for some of the meals so an enticing catering menu is a plus.
5) The hotel must be in Iowa.
If you have a suggestion please let me know in the comments or via email. All suggestions will be considered. If you are a hotel and would like more information be sure to email me the following information: contact name and number, name and location of hotel, and amenities offered.

Honey Creek Resort?

Will the place determine the price? because that is what kept me away last year.
The location will, of course, determine the price for the rooms. As for the conference price, $75 was an absolute steal compared to other blogging conferences which are averaging $200 this year (plus travel out of state).
I just stumbled across your site and I’m so excited! I’m not sure how close I’ll be to your location, but I’m from Southwest Missouri, near Branson. All of the conferences that are close are in February, which is absolutely TERRIBLE for unpredictable snow and ice. That makes it impossible to make travel plans!
$75 for a conference was a cost that kept someone away?!?!?!? Most are running $400-$600 for the tickets alone, and are at hotels that average $150 per night.
Are there any other Midwestern conferences that you know of?
