Creative Memories Wants to Bring You to I_Blog!
Yep, you read that right! In addition to sponsoring an evening of fun, food & digi-scrapping Creative Memories would also like to bring one lucky blogger to the I_Blog Conference!
So, you’re probably wondering just what you need to do to win… It’s easy, actually. Leave a comment below telling Creative Memories why they should choose you to represent them at I_Blog. Just half a dozen sentences or so… Don’t forget to tell us about your blog!
Now, nothing in life is free, but I don’t think you’ll have any problem fulfilling your end of this bargain if you are chosen. Between the date you are chosen and December 10 the winner will need to write 3 posts pertaining to Creative Memories. (Ideas: 1) Hey! Creative Memories is sending me to I_Blog! 2) Look what I did with the Creative Memories software 3) Gift ideas from Creative Memories Wow, did I just do all the work for you?) In addition to the 3 posts Creative Memories would also like to see some Twitter action from you. Link your posts, do a Twitpic or two, tweet from the conference. If it’s got @Creative_Mems in it it counts!
So… Let’s hear why you should be chosen…
Entries will be sent to Creative Memories October 28. Get your entries in by October 27 by 11:59 pm!

OK, here goes–why Creative Memories should choose me to represent them at I_Blog…
1) I’ve been a fan of Creative Memories for all of my married life, which is more than eleven years ago. My aunt, who was a consultant at the time, gave me an album for my wedding and helped me get started. Since then, I’ve completed increasingly-bigger albums for each of my babies, each before the next came along, which wasn’t easy when I had four babies in five years. Two years ago, I made the switch to digital scrapping with the Storybook Creator software and have completed several digital albums, including two special albums for my mom and her siblings outlining my grandmother’s early life from her photos and reminiscences. If Creative Memories chooses me, they won’t be choosing someone who’s excited to TRY their products. They’ll be choosing someone who KNOWSthem inside and out. And I’d bring my completed Storybook albums to share ideas with other conference-goers.
2) While an Iowa blogging conference is a lot closer to home than most, I’ll still be driving 250+ miles from Minnesota to get there. My husband will be harvesting in full swing (hopefully), so I’m putting a lot on the line to make the commitment to come. Some help with the costs would certainly help to get my husband’s blessing.
3) I blog about family travel, which is somewhat outside the scope of the regular “mommy-blogging” world. When Creative Memories gave away some software at another blogging conference, I remember reading about it on the mommy blogs. I don’t recall any travel bloggers writing about it. My blog posts would reach a whole new audience. It’s read by parents looking for fun things to do with their kids as well as world travelers. I’m thinking of the possibilities I could do to show off the software on my blog, and could start with a page from our Philadelphia trip last winter that’s already started.
4) When I review a product or a place, I review it honestly. If I love it, I say so, but if I have suggestions for improvement, I’ll mention them. When I’ve reviewed products like Muvee Reveal or travel sites like Dealbase.com, I’ve received messages from the companies thanking me for my honest and thorough reviews. Does that make me a risk? Maybe. But isn’t that better than a glossy review of “Oh, this product is the best that I’ve ever seen, even though I haven’t tried it yet?”
5) Twitter? Got it covered. I already promoted Creative Memories’ sponsorship of the I_Blog Conference, even before I knew about this little contest. I’ll be ready to tweet at the conference, you can count on that.
So there you have it, the Top 5 Reasons that Creative Memories should send minnemom to I_Blog.
Hope to see you there!
No entry from me, but I just wanted to say how COOL COOL COOL I think this opportunity is! I loved meeting Jody AND all the folks from Creative Memories at Type A Mom. Also a plug for Minnemom. She sounds like a perfecto candidate.
I look forward to hearing all about I_Blog. Best of luck w/ the conference, Jody.
Wow, what a wonderful opportunity!! While I don’t have quite as many reasons as Linda, I would like to toss my name into the ring as well!
I LOVE scrapbooking. The name of my blog is Eat, Scrap, Love. The fact that I have SCRAP in the name of my blog means that I love it…however, being a workin’ mama, I don’t have much time to do traditional scrapbooking. I love to get together with the girls and scrap through the night, but just don’t have the time as often as I’d like!
I’d love to get into the realm of digi-scrapping, and have actually downloaded many digi-kits, but can’t find a program that I love enough to work with…..perfect opportunity for Creative Memories to showcase their wonderful product!!
Oh, how I would love to attend I_Blog Conference! I just started my blog this month, but have been an avid blog reader for the last 18 months and I am addicted. I think I’d make a great candidate to attend for a few reasons:
1. I actually will be getting my CM Software soon – so I can blog and tweet about my real life experience with it! I have two babies under 2 so I have very little time but lots of pictures. I can’t wait!
2. I have been a paper crafter for over 15 years, and I love the CM Custom Cutting System and I use it for everything! (Thanks for the reminder, I need new blades before the holidays!)
3. My blog features work at home opportunities, a natural match for the CM opportunity
4. I have been dreaming/planning/preparing to attend a blog conference someday – this could be my first!
Thanks for the opportunity! Can’t wait to read the winning entry – maybe it will be mine!
I am really looking forward to attending the I_Blog Conference. I am a mom who rarely gets the opportunity to leave home other than running errands or going to church. I chose to leave my profession and stay at home to care for my special needs son full time. I do not by any means regret this choice but it is a difficult way to live. This conference will be the first time in just over two years that I have been away from my family (seven children and hubby) overnight. So why pick me?
I blog for my own sanity and I love reviewing new to me products and services on my blog. It only gets better when I get to give one of my fabulous readers a prize too! This sounds like a great promotion which I have already passed along in a post.
I desparately need to get a break and learn more about what blogging has to offer so I can offer my readers more. This is my contact with the outside non-internet world.
I am absolutely thrilled to get the opportunity to review and share with my readers the digital scrapbooking session you are offering. I tend to be a cluttered mom (haha) and this will allow me to have something crafty in my life without having a mess! I am going to share no matter what the decision is on this ticket no worries there.
Seriously, I am going either way but this would help gap the financial burden this trip is going to cost me and my family. I really look forward to learning about Creative Memories from both the product and business point of view as it is pretty much a new to me company.
Thank you for the chance,
Heather
Oooooh… these are excellent entries, ladies!
Yikes – this is going to be a very tough decision for us!
You’re all worthy & deserving, for sure!!
Jenny
I believe Creative Memories should choose me to represent them at I_Blog because I DO NOT view myself as a scrapbooker. ::head scratch, right?:: What better person to send than someone who is completely overwhelmed by the thought of even organizing her family photos, let alone creating beautiful scrapbooks? I am an avid photographer, and have an active blog and Twitter account that I post to regularly. It would be great fun to post my experiences as I learn to use Creative Memories products. And even more fun to present each of my three kids with their own scrapbook from the THOUSANDS of photos I have in shoeboxes and on on my hard-drive. It’s sad, really, that I haven’t been a better steward of my family’s memories. I’m ready to change that, and would love to learn with Creative Memories!
