Speaker Bio: Darcy from Graphically Designing
Darcy started her personal blog Life With My 3 Boybarians in 2005 when blogging was an anomaly. Frustrated by the limited graphics and the total unavailability of decent templates and themes at the time, Darcy started tinkering with the code until she finagled a basic blog out of it. This grew into a hobby then into what it is today; Darcy has now designed nearly 200 blogs which can be found on 5 continents and in several languages!
Just like you want your home to reflect your style and taste, Darcy believes your home sweet home online should echo that same sense of purpose and style. You set the tone with color, typography and graphics. Good design allows your content to be the true shining star – drawing the focus to your message and stories and photos. Having a great theme and strong behind-the-scene structure makes your blog stable, fun and reliable!
Recently, Darcy and her husband Randy started a photography business focusing on natural-light, on-location shoots. His and Hers Photography specializes in making sure you aren’t stuck with awkwardly posed, cliche shots, like those old school photos. Fun angles, interesting locations, no awkward poses and fake smiles.
During her workshop, Darcy will talk about blog design, graphics, fonts… where to find the best places to pimp your blog. From fonts to graphics to personal photos and photo editing, Darcy will give you tips on how to make your blog look its best. Bring your questions about how to dress your blog to make your content get noticed.

Also joining Darcy and providing affordable, professional headshots:
Randy got his first SLR camera in 2000 after the birth of his first son. After learning darkroom techniques, studying composition, processing and the expensive professional film ways, Randy has fallen in love with the digital process. He says,

Sign me up for a headshot session and let me know what I need to do. Companies and conferences are always asking for head shots and I never have a decent one. It’s worth $25 to not have to worry about it any more!
